grey

Written by Andrea Cuevas

Grey is everywhere—subtle, elusive, timeless. As a young girl, I believed that blending all the colors of the rainbow would create it—how naïve I was—but that shade never came. And now I understand why. Grey isn’t born from color; it’s a value, a byproduct of light and shadow, modeled by the union of black and white—two forces on opposite ends of the spectrum. Grey is the fog that veils a cold morning, the silent moon that reigns over the night, and the looming shadow that follows us without fail. Its existence is almost secretive, but always present if we learn to see.

The old saying that not everything is black and white has never left my mind the moment it entered my ears, a reminder that there is grey within us all. A moral compass that shifts between absolutes. But I digress.

Whether you embrace minimalism or enjoy maximalism, grey is a hue that flatters all. Don’t let it fade into the depths of your closet—embrace it, and let your grey speak to the world.
