With Dreamworldgirl Zine there is no shortage of things to talk about, so here are a bunch of updates about things happening in our world!

1. DWG Diaries, a brand new podcast, launches on November 10th! If you haven’t heard already, Dreamworldgirl Zine, under the direction of our co-EIC Emma Cahill, plans to launch a brand new podcast called DWG Diaires. Each episode will explore the personal stories, inspirations, and artistic journeys of guests who reimagine the past while shaping the future of art, media, and identity. From behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the zine to heartfelt reflections and powerful confessions, we hope that DWG Diaries captures the Y2K era while celebrating the diverse voices that define our creative landscape today. Our first episode comes out on November 10th!

2. We’re now taking anonymous confessions! Speaking of DWG Diaries, our first episode will have an Anonymous Confessions segment.Anyone is encouraged to submit their confession, whether it be a storytime and/or a confession, and you can submit as many as you want. Easy, breezy Dreamworldgirl. Submit your confession here!

3. We’re throwing an event for our LA Dreamworldgirls! Finally! In LA we’ve already vended at a market and showcased our work at a Playa Vista art show, but for the first time on the west coast we are throwing an event solely hosted by and catered towards the Dreamworldgirl community. It’s called the Bitter Bitch Picnic, and we’ll be in Elysian Park from 12-4 PM on November 16th. We’ll be doing flash tattoos, polaroid portraits, collages & have free drinks and snacks (because it is a picnic after all!) You can also expect music, an opportunity to buy merch, and a chance to look through our first print issue.

4. We just secured our merch designers! One thing Dreamworldgirl Zine loves is merch! This past summer we had three different merch designers who all made DIY-inspired clothing. For our BITTER era we’ve got even more designers, even more ideas and even more possibilities. We can’t wait for you all to see and get your hands on this merch, and we’re also super excited about the classic merch photoshoot which is taking place sooner than you think.

5. There is a little over a month left to submit to Dreamworldgirl Zine’s second issue. Didn’t you hear?! Submissions for Dreamworldgirl Zine’s second issue are open RIGHT NOW! You can submit anything your heart desires, whether it be photography, prose, art, music, or some other creative medium. For more information about how to submit, head to dreamworldgirlzine.com/submit!

6. We’re doing a giveaway that ends tomorrow at 3PM PT/6PM EST! Finally, we’re giving away a free digital issue of DIY! All you have to do is head to our Instagram, find the photo of Shane from the L Word, and comment whoever your 90s/2000s sapphic crush is. As a reminder, this is a WLW specific giveaway; any cis men in the comments will be immediately removed from the random selection process. The winner is announced TOMORROW, so if you haven’t commented yet hurry up and do so <3
