While browsing the Internet today I came across a medium article: Claire Murdough’s 2015 list of questions intended to help readers learn more about themselves and others. I’m the type of girl that loves q&A’s; it’s why we do so many takeovers on the zine instagram story. there’s just something really exciting and fun about answering questions geared towards you! below are my answers to 10 of the questions murdough prepared. how would you answer these?

Q1: If you had an unlimited supply of anything, what would it be? What would you do with it?

A: I mean, maybe this is materialistic of me to say but, I feel like the obvious answer is money. Money can do so much and get you so many places. It would be amazing not to worry about a job or housing/living expenses; I’d be able to do what I love, splurge on my home and live comfortably. I’d also get to do fun activities, travel often, and donate to all of the amazing charities and organizations out there. Hell, I’d probably start my own MF foundation. If you have money, you can pretty much buy an unlimited supply of anything. A cop out answer perhaps, but my answer nevertheless.

Q2: What’s something you could talk about for hours, but never get to since no one ever asks?

A: HELP! This question is readinggg me. Speaking of...I think I miss having conversations about books, especially fantasy novels and YA literature that’s just fun to geek out about. Like, if someone were to ask me to tell them everything about my top 5 YA novels, I’d have to kiss them. After rambling for hours, that is!

Q3: Would you rather spend an evening alone or out with friends?

A: As much as I love my friends, I am an introvert at heart.Evenings alone help me to recharge, and I also entertain myself really easily, so what might seem boring to someone else is super enjoyable for me. I love alone time!

Q4: What’s your biggest pet peeve about other people?

A: I really hate people that think they are“ too cool.” For whatever reason, some individuals really have it in their heads that the world revolves around them and that anyone who doesn’t fit their mold is unworthy of breath. Get a grip! Everyone is cool and unique in their own way.

Q5: Who was your childhood crush? Whatever happened to them?

A: I had MANY lmao. The first one I can remember is this boy named Zachary (it may have been spelled with a K, actually) who I went to elementary school with. Back then he lowkey had a crush on me too, but we lost touch after middle school. I have no idea what he’s up to now!

Q6: When you were a kid, what did you think you would do when you grew up? How close were you?

A: I have always, always wanted to be an author. Like, that was my dream job when I was little and it pretty much still is. I majored in Creative Writing and have aspirations of becoming a published YA author one day. Of course, at this current moment in time, my focus is more so on the indie/DIY zine industry, but genre fiction and trade publishing still have a big place in my heart.

Q7: Do you have a sweet tooth or a salty tooth?

A: Definitely more sweet! I’d love some candy right now.

Q8: How often do you speak what’s going on in your mind?

A: I am certainly an oversharer (especially on social media), but every year I share less and less. I think it’s my frontal lobe developing.I also am typically hesitant to share some of my more controversial thoughts. Those are only really expressed around my immediate family and romantic partners (when I have them, which BTW, right now I do not).

Q9: What fun fact do you share when asked for a fun fact?

A: It’s usually something basic, like my zodiac sign. I’m a Pisces, in case you were wondering. But I swear I have better fun facts than that! For example, I was almost a competitive swimmer, I played the violin for seven years, I was born on St. Patrick’s Day and my last name is Irish, but I am not (Irish, that is). Speaking of when I was born, I came out of my mother with my hips turned inwards and doctors wanted me to get surgery for it as a kid. So you see, I’ve got more fun facts. Astrology is just so easy, so that’s what I tend to go with!!

Q10: Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?

A: This is super morbid but I’ve always had visions of car crashes, for as long as I can remember. I’m really scared of the road, or more so scared of the irresponsible people on it. That’s why it took me so long to get my license, and why I barely drive now. So if I had to guess, it would probably be something like that, a crash. Hopefully I go peacefully in my old age though!
